My name is Madeline Acri and I am the Energy Storage Manager at Soligent. My mission is to inform and empower homeowners, installers and the Soligent Team to be the most knowledgeable about residential solar + storage systems.
Energy storage continues to be a topic of interest in the solar industry. Now that the first half of 2020 is nearly behind us, we have an array of energy storage options for various applications (pun intended). For suburban homes in Northern California, the PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff may be the primary contributor to spurring the decision to go battery-based. Or, maybe summertime of use peak rates in SDG&E is encouraging others to consider solar + storage. Hurricane season is nearly upon us in the South East, so now is the time to consider some amount of home back up with a battery unit or a generator.
Energy independence, improving resiliency and relying less on the grid are all influential reasons to evaluate adding solar + storage to your home, no matter what your rate structure is or what part of the country you reside in.
In my latest webinar in Soligent’s energy storage series, I reviewed all our current battery-based solutions, looking into their use-cases and applications. Watch the overview of battery-based solutions now.
