Hello everyone! My name is Will Gray and I recently joined the team at Soligent. I bring 18 years of electrical distribution experience and I am working to help Soligent provide more electrical support and inventory for our loyal customers. In my first blog, I wanted to discuss safety switches. They are extremely important to have on every job and fortunately Soligent understands that and we are keeping plenty on hand at our distribution centers across the country.
Every electrician knows that when providing power to a home or business that there must be a means of interruption between utility line and the home or business. The job of a safety switch is to cut off the electricity to avoid electrical shock, injury, death or fire. It does this by monitoring the electrical current flowing through the wiring system. With that being said, safety switches are just as important for the solar installer. More and more homes are now adding solar as a means of energy. Solar systems can run up to 600 volts of electricity and can provide several various amps of current. If not installed properly, it can cause risk of fire. So, having a safety switch can help prevent this from happening.
Fortunately, Soligent understands the need to provide safety switches for its installers and keeps several variations of safety switches in stock among all locations. Soligent has partnered with Square D to help provide more product offering, customer support, and training. Soligent also keeps other brands that may be required for your job to match existing gear as well. Reach out to Soligent for all of your electrical needs on your next solar installation!
Thank you for reading. Keep Soligent in mind whenever you are needing EBOS materials. We are adding more and more inventory every day and the future is bright!
